Hello JCT members,
At our last board meeting it was decided that the club would begin collecting an annual membership fee of $40 as of March 2009. This fee would go towards additional perks for our members. For example, members will receive discounts from our sponsors, discounts on our club uniform kit, and free triathlon clinics. The membership dues will go towards things like funding small Jet City Tri races, advertising our team so that we can continue to grow, help with social functions and cover other dues that we will need to fork up regularly to maintain our webpage and status as a legit club.
As this club is young and still quite small, we want to draw new members and potential members to our friendly tri community. In turn, we will continue to keep things like our group workouts free and open to all, and will encourage members and non-members to use the jet city webpage and bulletin board as a way to exchange valuable info/tips on tri topics. We may want to at some point limit the jetcity email list to members only, as a key communication tool for members.
The $40 fee will be annual, and will require renewal 12 months from initial joining date. I will maintain the list of members and prompt each member's annual renewal.
Please feel free to ask additional questions or offer suggestions about this venture into true tri club membership.
